1. Hermannsdalstinden
Island: Moskenesøya
Difficulty: Very hard
This is an unforgettable hike to the highest point on Moskenesøya Island. The trail is very good, but it is very long and steep. This hike is only for experienced hikers, especially if you try to complete it in a single day.
Along the way, you will discover diverse and absolutely magnificent landscapes, culminating in an exceptional panorama from Hermannsdalstinden's summit. The effort is well worth it!
2. Grytetippen and Keipen
Island: Senja
Difficulty: Hard
This hike is considered one of the most beautiful in Senja. It offers spectacular views of the northern part of the island. Standing on the peaks of Segla or Barden, it's hard to imagine climbing Grytetippen without climbing equipment because the cliffs on its western side are so impressive. However, this hike is achievable and relatively easy from a technical standpoint.
3. Narvtinden
Island: Moskenesøya
Difficulty: Hard
Discover Narvtinden, a spectacular yet little-known peak located on the island of Moskenesøya in the Lofoten Islands. This challenging hike rewards you with breathtaking views of the surrounding fjords, including Selfjorden and Stormarkpollen Bay, as well as the crystal-clear waters of Lake Solbjørnvatnet. Immersing yourself in this pristine wilderness will create lasting memories of the Lofoten Islands' majesty.
4. Urkeegga
Region: Møre og Romsdal
Difficulty: Hard
Discover Urkeegga, a spectacular and unforgettable hike in the heart of the Sunnmøre Alps. Overlooking the picturesque village of Urke and the emerald waters of the Hjørundfjord, this route features a magnificent ridge crossing. Urkeegga literally means "Urke's Ridge." Immerse yourself in the wild, unspoiled landscape and take in the panoramic views of the fjord and surrounding peaks that are so characteristic of the region.
5. Raudmelen
Region: Vestland
Difficulty: Moderate
The hike to Raudmelen (972 m) is one of the region's highlights. It offers spectacular views of the Sognefjord—Norway's longest fjord—and the surrounding mountains.
The route begins in a dense, shady forest and gradually opens up to rocky, open landscapes as you approach the summit. Raudmelen is the perfect all-around hike, offering diverse landscapes, high-quality trails, and exceptional views. There are few visitors, and at the summit is a modern refuge where you can spend the night and continue your adventure. It's a unique experience between fjord and mountain.
