Stútur crater
From the parking lot on the F208 road, you can access a path that takes you to the rim of this small crater in just ten minutes. Although the crater is modest in size, the view over the Fjallabak region is nonetheless magnificent.

How to get there: Accessible by either route F208 North or F225, only in summer, a 4WD is required.
On the F208 North route, there are no river crossings, which means that all 4WD are perfectly suitable! On the other hand, the F225 has several small river crossings. In this case, a medium-sized or larger 4x4 will be more suitable. Click here for more information.
