Sandwood Bay

Discover the magnificent Sandwood Bay, located in the Sutherland region in the far northwest of Scotland. The bay is famous for its 1.6 kilometers of secluded beach and Am Buachaille, an iconic sea stack. It is considered by some to be one of the most beautiful beaches in Scotland.

The path to the beach is very well maintained. The scenery between the start at Blaimore and Sandwood Bay is really nothing to write home about! It's flat and boring, really surprising for such a beautiful region. But rest assured, your patience will be rewarded with fabulous views once you reach the bay.
