Beaches of Lotu and Saleccia
Discover two white sand paradises, the Lotu and Saleccia beaches, located in the heart of the Agriates desert, near Saint-Florent. The kilometre-long Saleccia beach, with its turquoise waters, is considered one of the most beautiful on the island. Both beaches are accessible only by boat or on foot, keeping them from being overcrowded.
The coastal path, also known as the “sentier des douaniers”, is clearly signposted and not particularly difficult. The scenery along the way is sublime, with many coves inviting for a swim. The route is generally flat, but its length can be challenging. However, a refreshing stop at the beach at Saleccia, lined with juniper and Aleppo pine dunes, will be most rejuvenating. In summer, it is important to bring plenty of water, as the sun can be intense and shade is scarce along the way.
