Nonza Hike

Hike overview

This short walk will take you on a tour of Nonza, a medieval village perched on a cliff approximately 100 meters above the Mediterranean Sea. You will stroll through the picturesque streets, explore the Paoline Tower (which offers exceptional views), and descend to the famous gray and black pebble beach. The beach's unique color comes from residues of an old asbestos quarry.

Difficulties of the hike

This very short walk presents no technical difficulties. The route begins in the narrow streets of the village before descending to the beach via a path. The descent is via steps through a small wood and passes by the Sainte-Julie fountain. Although the route is not marked, the path is clearly visible and easy to follow.

What you'll love
