Quiraing

The Quiraing, a geological formation of volcanic origin, is the result of a landslide on the Trotternish peninsula in the north of the Isle of Skye. Along with The Old Man of Storr, it is one of the island's most iconic attractions and attracts a large number of visitors. Hiking through the Quiraing offers some of the most spectacular scenery in Scotland. Although most visitors are content to enjoy the views from the car park and take a short walk, the full loop offers spectacular views and many surprises along the way.

The path is generally well maintained, but can be very rough and rocky in places. The return along the escarpment is slightly dizzying.
