Beinn a’ Chrùlaiste
The round top of Beinn a' Chrùlaiste is nothing to write home about. It is, however, a wonderful belvedere from which to contemplate the iconic mountain of the Glencoe valley, Buachaille Etive Mor. Certainly one of the best viewpoints in the valley.
The hike to the summit is not difficult. The trail is well defined for the first part of the route, but can become less obvious later on. However, orientation remains relatively straightforward, as you always follow the same direction. Expect to encounter sections of the trail that are quite boggy.
More details on the hike
The hike starts from the same car park as Buachaille Etive Mor, along the A82 road. take the path that follows the road east for a few hundred meters. You'll find the trail on your left, behind a sheep fence. Waterproof footwear is recommended, as this section is often very boggy.
The trail initially heads northwest before turning east. Follow this direction for about an hour, with an ascent of around 300 meters. You will then reach the most spectacular viewpoints of the walk, offering stunning panoramic views of Buachaille Etive Mor and the Glencoe valley as a whole. From this point the trail may become less obvious or even non-existent depending on the time of year. Continue eastwards through the heather, keeping the summit in sight. Once at the summit, enjoy the 360-degree panorama.
For the return journey, simply follow the same route.

REMARKS
This hike is recommended for photography enthusiasts. Admittedly, the trail is not the most pleasant, with the constant noise of the A82 road and little variety in the scenery. However, the view to the south, with a majestic perspective of Buachaille Etive Mor, more than make up for this.
Interestingly, the best views of the Glencoe valley are to be found more or less halfway up the hike, rather than at the summit itself. So if you're short on time, it may make sense to stop here. It also reduces the ascent to around 300 meters.
