Kolugljúfur canyon
Kolugljúfur, a picturesque canyon in northern Iceland, is famous for the Kolufossar waterfalls that plunge to the bottom of the gorge. Although not one of Iceland's most famous tourist attractions, the Kolugljúfur Canyon is well worth a visit, especially as it lies just a few kilometers from the famous Golden Circle.
Approximately 1 kilometer long and 40 to 50 meters deep, the canyon is located in the heart of a lush green area. No fewer than 5 or 6 waterfalls can be admired along its paths.
