Important note: I had the opportunity to discover this site in gusts of wind exceeding 120 km/h! Taking photos was almost impossible, as was fully enjoying the place. 'My Rating’ will therefore be updated on my next visit...
Hveravellir is a geothermal oasis nestled in the heart of the Icelandic Highlands, between the Langjökull and Hofsjökull glaciers. This site is characterised by intense geothermal activity, with numerous hot springs and fumaroles. It should be noted that bathing in one of these springs allows visitors to relax in an exceptional natural setting, in contrast to the often harsh climate of the Highlands.
