Reynisfjara beach
Located in the Vik region of southern Iceland, Reynisfjara beach is often considered the most beautiful beach in the country. Extremely popular, this endless expanse of black sand is dotted with pebbles and bordered by the impressive Reynisfjall basalt cliffs. At the foot of these cliffs are several caves and magnificent basalt columns in perfect geometric shapes.
Another curiosity are the lava stacks of Reynisdrangar, not far from the shore. These rock formations are the last remnants of what was once a cliff attached to the Reynisfjall mountain.
