Hike overview

Hamnanova is a short but rewarding hike located in the Jølster region of Vestland county in Norway. At around 750 meters high, this peak offers spectacular, panoramic views of Lake Jølstravatnet and the Kjøsnesfjord. It is accessible with moderate effort and appeals to hikers for its excellent effort-to-reward ratio. You will appreciate its unspoiled natural environment, which is quiet and mainly frequented by locals, far from the tourist crowds.

Difficulties of the hike

Thanks to its starting point at an altitude of around 400 meters, the climb up Hamnanova is short and does not present any significant technical challenges. The well-marked trail winds through a beautiful forest before reaching the summit. There are a few wet sections, but they are mostly covered with flat stones to keep your feet dry. This is a hike accessible to all, including families with children.
