Storsæterfossen
The Storsæterfossen hike takes you to one of the most impressive waterfalls in the Geiranger region, in the heart of the Norwegian fjords. Starting from the charming Vesterås farm, this popular route offers a memorable adventure. The highlight? The unique opportunity to walk behind the waterfall curtain, which is as impressive as it is refreshing.
Remarks
Best time of year to hike: From May to October, on average. See the Norway FAQ for more details.
Difficulties of the hike
This easy hike features a steady climb with an elevation gain of about 250 meters. An excellent stone path, the result of the work of Nepalese Sherpas, makes the ascent easier.
A guardrail secures the passage behind the waterfall. However, caution is advised, as the ground is constantly wet and slippery. Although the route is not marked, directional signs are posted along the way.
