Bunes Beach Hike

This hike will take you to Bunes Beach, one of the most beautiful beaches in Norway, located on Moskenesøya Island in the Lofoten archipelago. This stretch of white sand is bordered by the impressive Helvetestinden and Storskiva cliffs.

Accessible only by ferry from Reine, this excursion includes a picturesque crossing of the Reinefjord and a walk to this unspoiled natural gem. The beach is much larger than it appears at first glance and offers an idyllic setting for a picnic or bivvy.

Boat access required: Vindstad can only be accessed by boat from Reine, with two to four departures daily, depending on the season. Check the Reis Nordland website for timetables.

Difficulties of the hike

This hike is easy and accessible to all, making it perfect for a family outing. The hike begins on the only trail in the village of Vindstad, which you follow for 1.8 kilometers. Then, you leave the trail for a small path that gently climbs towards the Einangen pass, which sits at an altitude of just 76 meters.
