Kvalvika beach

The hike to Kvalvika Beach leads to one of the most beautiful wild beaches in the Lofoten Islands, nestled in a secluded bay north of Moskenesøya and accessible only on foot. This spectacular beach offers a striking contrast between its turquoise waters, golden sand and the steep cliffs that frame it.

Once a place of absolute tranquility, Kvalvika has become one of the most popular hiking and wilderness camping destinations in the Lofoten Islands, attracting many visitors daily in summer.

Parking: The main parking lot only has about 15 spaces and is largely insufficient to accommodate the crowds. Arriving early is strongly recommended, especially during the high season.

Possible extension: You can extend your adventure to the summit of Ryten (543 m) for spectacular aerial views of the beach.

The well-maintained trail presents no difficulty. It has wooden walkways to cross marshy areas. An ideal route for a family outing.
