Campomoro Coastal Trail Hike

Hike overview

The Campomoro Coastal trail is a spectacular loop hike that begins in the picturesque village of Campomoro, which is located southwest of the Gulf of Valinco. The route takes you on a journey through a succession of coves and inlets along a rocky coastline dotted with taffoni, which are granite formations sculpted by erosion.

The trail runs along the coast to Cala d'Agulia, a paradise beach with crystal-clear waters. Then, it returns through the scrubland via Punta di Manna Mulina, which rises to an altitude of 180 meters.

Remarks

Parking: Several car parks are available in Campomoro. Parking is subject to a charge from May 1 to October 31, from 9 a.m. to 7 p.m. Please note that some parking lots have a time limit (five hours maximum in the red zone and ten hours in the orange zone). Indicative prices in 2025 are between €1.20 and €2.00 per hour, depending on the month and car park.

Visit to the Genoese Tower: The tower is open from April to November. Admission fee: €2.50 per adult; free for children under 12.

Difficulties of the hike

While the hike does not present any major technical difficulties, it requires good physical condition due to its distance of over 15 kilometers and cumulative elevation gain of 430 meters. The route mainly follows rocky and uneven terrain, particularly along the coastal section.

Although the trail is not marked, it is easily identifiable and well maintained by the Conservatoire du littoral. There is virtually no shade along the route; only the scrubland crossing on the way back offers intermittent shade.
