Radule Waterfall Hike

The Radule Waterfall hike takes you through an extraordinary setting in the Valdu Niellu Laricio Pine Forest, surrounded by towering peaks. The trail leads to a stunning 25-meter-high waterfall flowing into two natural pools — perfect for cooling off in the summer.

This loop hike partly follows the legendary GR20 trail and offers an authentic immersion in the Corsican mountain landscape. During the summer season, you can sample local products at the Radule sheepfold.

Remarks

Parking: Parking is available at the "Fer à Cheval" bend on the D84, about 4 km from the Vergio Pass towards Albertacce. In high season, the parking lot may be full. If so, you can park at the Vergio Pass and take the Mare a Mare trail to the Radule sheepfold.

Extension option: From the footbridge halfway along the route, you can continue up the Golo on the GR20 trail to discover other, less popular natural pools. Keep in mind, however, that the water remains very cool, even in summer.

Difficulties and description of the hike

This hike is not technically difficult and remains very accessible, with only a 200-meter elevation gain over approximately four kilometers. The well-marked trail runs mainly in the shade of the forest.
