Tavignano Gorge

Explore a magnificent hike through the impressive Tavignano Valley, a less frequented alternative to the famous Restonica Valley nearby. It's an ideal option, especially in hot weather, as the gorges are pleasantly cool and there are superb natural swimming pools near the Passerelle di u Russulinu.

The path is perfectly marked and follows the route of the Mare a Mare Nord and its orange markings, guaranteeing easy navigation along the way.

More details on the hike

Start your journey west of Corte, near the Musée de la Corse, where a sign will direct you to the Sega refuge. Follow the Mare a Mare Nord trail, marked in orange. The path winds its way along the valley, with around 6 kilometers of gentle ups and downs until you reach the Passerelle di u Russulinu. The beautiful natural pools with crystal clear water invite you to take a refreshing dip (be prepared for cold water!).

To return, you have two options: you can follow the same route as you came or you can reach the banks of the Tavignano. For the latter, there are several unmarked, rather steep paths that lead down to the banks of the Tavignano. Choose the option that best suits your mood and comfort level, and enjoy this natural escape to the full..
