Lion of Roccapina
Discover two sandy paradises on this superb coastal hike: the beaches of Roccapina and Erbaju, located in the Sartenais region. From the hill that separates these two stretches of sand, you can admire the majestic 17th century Genoese tower and the famous Lion of Roccapina, an impressive natural sculpture that seems to watch over the surrounding bay.
The itinerary is not marked, but the path is clearly visible and spotted by a few cairns. This easy walk will delight the whole family. The scenery is wild and unspoilt, with no buildings to detract from the natural beauty of the surrounding beaches. Note that there are few shady stretches, but you'll be rewarded with breathtaking panoramas and two heavenly beaches where you can relax and recharge your batteries.
