Rondinara peninsula

The Rondinara Peninsula hike takes you to the top of a small peninsula overlooking one of Corsica's most beautiful beaches. This short, accessible hike starts at the famous Rondinara Bay, which is renowned for its shell shape and turquoise waters.

The trail gradually climbs through scrubland and orange-red rock formations to the 53-meter summit, where you will be rewarded with a spectacular panorama of the bay and the Mediterranean.

Remarks

Parking: There is a large paid parking lot at the foot of the beach (indicative price of €5 in 2025). It fills up quickly in the summer. Tip: Arrive before 9 a.m. or after 4 p.m. to more easily find a spot in the summer.

Difficulties and description of the hike

The trail is not marked, but it is easy to follow and presents no technical difficulties. In places, the dense scrub vegetation encroaches on the path, especially during the ascent. This reduces the width of the path to 30-40 cm in some areas, which can be prickly.

What you'll love

  • Starting the hike at the splendid Rondinara Beach with its perfect shell shape, white sand, and calm, shallow turquoise waters.
  • Discovering small, quiet coves with orange-red granite rocks at the foot of the peninsula.
  • The trail is less crowded than the beach, offering a peaceful escape between swims.
