GR20 Stage 11: From Capannelle to Prati

Eleventh stage of the GR20 in a north-south direction, linking the Capanelle (1642 m) and Prati (1820 m) refuges. Although long, this stage is characterized by easier, mostly shaded paths. You'll spend most of the time in the forest.

The route presents no major difficulties until the Col de Verde, at 1289 m, the lowest point of the route. Here you'll find the relay station of San Pedro di Verde, a perfect place to recharge your batteries before starting the day's ascent. The initial climb through the forest is steep until you reach Bocca d'Oru, at 1846 meters. However, the scenery that unfolds along the way, and the panoramic view from the pass, are well worth the effort. A final 15 minutes descent brings you to the Prati refuge, with its magnificent view of the Mediterranean sea. Take advantage of this enchanting setting to rest and admire the scenery before continuing your journey on the GR20.
